Mingary is a Gaelic word meaning ‘the quiet place’.
It is a non-denominational sanctuary within St Michael’s, welcoming all who enter, regardless of faith, background or belief. Since opening in September 1999, hundreds of people have found their way here, each touched in their own way by the experience.
Mingary has been developed as a place for personal reflection and a peaceful escape from the demands of city life. It offers a haven where people may restore a sense of strength and vitality particularly following times of trauma, difficulty or loss.
Mingary is devoted to healing, restoration, inspiration, vision and empowerment.
